For Mental Care Group, this was the moment to take a different approach. Rather than waiting until employees drop out, the aim was to make mental health support available earlier, more accessibly and at scale.
Together with Ciphix, they developed Vitalmindz: a digital platform that moves mental health support further forward in the journey, shifting it from reactive to preventive.

The challenge: gaining control over mental health
In many organisations, mental health support is still fragmented and reactive. Help is often only offered once issues have already become serious, leading to longer periods of absence and more pressure on teams.
Mental Care Group saw a clear opportunity here: not to organise mental health support after the fact, but to make it available earlier, in a way that fits the reality of both employers and employees.
At the same time, there was a broader digital ambition at play. The organisation wanted to modernise its services and future proof them. Existing software lacked the flexibility and speed needed to move this forward.

With Vitalmindz, employees get direct access to mental health support through one digital environment. No fragmented initiatives or complex processes, but one central place where support is easy and quick to access.
The platform brings together different forms of support, from coaching and direct chat with a psychologist to e-health modules and interactive sessions. This combination ensures that employees receive the type of support that suits them best, exactly when they need it.

To make this possible, Mental Care Group chose Mendix and partnered with Ciphix to realise the platform.
The challenge was clear: develop quickly without compromising on usability, security or scalability. By working with low-code, the team was able to build, test and improve in short iterations.
This not only led to a shorter time to market, but also to a solution that better reflects day-to-day practice. At the same time, this way of working required faster decision-making and closer collaboration between business and IT, a shift that ultimately contributed to the success of the project.
